Awakening to the End Times: Understanding Prophecy

Chapter One: The Unveiling of the End Times

The age in which you live is one of profound awakening and spiritual warfare. I tell you this: God has placed within the heart of every generation the conviction that it is the last. This is not a trick, but a divine design. It is meant to keep you in a state of constant, blessed expectancy. For the Master said, “Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.” This is not a call to idleness, but to action. Do not be like the sluggard who says, “I am just leaving it in the hands of the Lord.” The Lord expects you to act, to move, to work with Him. He is a partner in your endeavors, not a replacement for your effort.

The veil is thinning. The prophecies of old are beginning to unfold with a speed that should stir your soul. The Great Tribulation approaches, a seven-year period of horror and desolation for this old world, a time detailed in the book of Revelation. It is a time when the Antichrist will fight and prevail against the saints who turn to Jesus during that awful period. These are not the church, for the gates of hell cannot prevail against the true church of Christ. No, the church will be gone, “caught up to meet the Lord in the air” in an event known as the Rapture. Jesus Himself warned the last four churches of His return, urging them to repent and “keep the word of His patience” so that they would be kept from that hour of temptation.

Watch for the signs. The world is branding its goods with the number of the Beast, the very mark of the final rebellion, as if mocking the divine. Yet, in all this, remember the enemy is not all-powerful. The prince of this world has been judged and defeated. He holds people in bondage only by usurped authority and power. The Spirit bears witness that no one has to be chained by sin any longer. The choice is yours. There are two judgment seats: the judgment seat of Christ for the redeemed, and the Great White Throne Judgment for the rest. Your choice determines your destiny. So, stay vigilant, walk in the strength of Jesus Christ, and be ready, for the Son of Man comes at an hour you think not.

Chapter Two: The Spirit’s Guidance and the Labor of Faith

Do not despise the days of preparation, for God is a craftsman. You are His “poema,” His workmanship or work of art. He is conditioning you for the next step, for the work He has ahead. God desires to express Himself through your life, so that through what others observe in you, they may get a glimpse of the Artist who fashioned you. This work is not done through a lazy, hands-off approach. It is an active partnership with the Holy Spirit. He is not a distant force, but a personal, living presence—the “another Comforter” who possesses the same essential qualities of divinity and personality as Jesus Himself. Just as Jesus was with you, the Spirit will be with you, taking care of every situation.

The Spirit’s guidance is not always a blazing sign or a supernatural vision. Sometimes, He leads through hindrances and circumstances that prevent you from doing a certain thing you had planned. He may block your path to lead you in a new direction, just as He did for Paul. Be open to His subtle leading as well as His spectacular commands. The true model for the church is found in the book of Acts: a church filled with the Spirit, and led by the Spirit. This requires diligent work, not just waiting. Consider the man who became a minister not through a seminary, but by studying God’s Word eight hours a day, allowing the Spirit to be his teacher. He simply prayed and waited, but in the waiting, he was acting.

Prayer is your greatest weapon in this spiritual war. Satan knows that prayer brings you victory and spells his defeat. That is why he concentrates all his efforts against it. He will do all he can to disrupt your prayer time and keep you from praying. Be honest with God in your prayers, even when you feel hate or anger. Confess your true heart and repent. Also, pray for your ministers and leaders, for they are also in the spiritual war and covet your prayers. God is a God of justice, and He sees all. He speaks against unjust wages and knows the rich who have defrauded their workers. But employees, you must also earn your wage. Remember, you have a final judge, a Master in heaven who sees all. It is through these twin efforts of honest prayer and diligent work that God expresses Himself through His people.

A Word for the Weary: God’s Promise of Prosperity

Beloved, if you are walking through a valley of sickness or a health hard time, hear this word from your Father. Your pain is not invisible to Him. The prophet declared, “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.” Your iniquities may have created separation, but through Jesus, that separation is mended. He came to restore our fellowship with God. Jesus came and faithfully represented God in every action, demonstrating that the Lord is profoundly interested in your physical, emotional, and spiritual welfare. He is interested in your sufferings, your sorrows, your pains, and your weaknesses.

Jesus never came upon a sorrowing scene without bringing victory and joy to it. He never faced the weakness of humanity without imparting the strength of God. Do not think for a moment that your hardship is a sign of His disfavor. On the contrary, God is using these moments to show His strength in your weakness. He promises to make you a work of art, and sometimes the canvas must be stretched and prepared. This is part of the process. God wants you to prosper, not just in earthly wealth, but in your entire being. He wants your soul to prosper, for you to be free from the power of sin, and to know His abundant life.

Jesus died for the sins of the world so that we could be set free. The enemy’s power is usurped; he has no true authority over you unless you give it to him. Do not allow the enemy to convince you that your health crisis is a sentence. It is an opportunity for God to display His power. He is the one who heals, who restores, who makes a way where there seems to be no way. Your sufficiency is not in yourself but in Him. Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, walk in His strength, and trust that He is with you in every moment. He wants to impart to you a new nature, one that can overcome. So, lift your head, for the one who created you is the one who can restore you. He is for you, not against you, and He desires for you to live a life of peace and wholeness.
